Silence in the face of genocide is complicity in crime

Dr. Masoud Shajereh, President of the Islamic Human Rights Commission in London, condemned the international community's silence regarding the crimes of the Zionist regime, emphasizing that "silence in the face of genocide is complicity in crime," and the ban on pro-Palestine protests in Britain is a new scandal for the West.

Hawzah News Agency- the Seventh International Congress of Al-Quds, with the presence of scholars, human rights activists, and prominent domestic and international personalities, was held on Friday, hosted by the Global Assembly of Qademoun. At the event, Dr. Masoud Shajereh, President of the Islamic Human Rights Commission, delivered a speech analyzing regional developments, the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza, and the inaction of the international community.

Genocide in Gaza; A Test for Humanity

Dr. Shajereh, referring to the heart-wrenching images of the slaughter of civilians in Palestine broadcasted over the past two years on television networks and mobile phones, stated: "We witnessed months of inhumanity towards humans; killing men, women, and children was not only accompanied by silence but also celebrated and justified."

“The international community, led by the United States, not only ignored these crimes but also played a partner in crime by providing financial and military support.” He added.

He emphasized that humanity has reached a historical crossroads, adding: "Today, we must all choose to stand for justice and against genocide, or stand by injustice and normalize crime. There is no third option. If genocide in Palestine becomes normalized today, no nation will be safe tomorrow."

Pressures on Iran for Defending the Oppressed

In another part of his speech, referring to recent threats against Iran, the Islamic Human Rights Commission President stated: "They are using force and power to attack Iran today. Why? Iran has not attacked any neighbor. Its only crime is standing by the people of Palestine and defending the oppressed. This is the same value that every free human being of any religion and belief understands.” He concluded.
